Job Description - TISA Intern

The Technology Intern will support IT initiatives within Acadia’s Research & Development (R&D) function by assisting Business Partners and Business Analysts with requirements, documentation, and project execution. This position will provide hands-on exposure to R&D business functions and applications used in the area.

Primary Responsibilities: 



  • Assist Information Technology Business Partners and Business Analysts with gathering and analyzing business requirements, documenting and maintaining project documentation, researching and learning technology solutions, preparing presentations and reports, and participating in project and team meetings. 



  • Assist with various tasks for Hypercare  support for one of the Veeva implementations. 



  • Support the implementation of the Clinical Command Center project. An initiative to centralize all Clinical Operations Data, by assisting the Information Technology Business Partners through the project lifecycle with tasks not limited to gathering and analyzing requirements, documenting and maintaining project documentation, researching and learning the platform for the project, preparing presentations or report and participating in project and team meetings. 



  • Opportunity to shadow and support a highly technical data migration project for the Biostatistics group in R&D. 



  • Learn and participate in the change management process for various system enhancements. 



  • Participates in team meetings, planning sessions, and strategic discussions to gain exposure to business operations and contribute insights where appropriate. 



  • Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and alignment with company values in all interactions. 



  • Completes a capstone project or final presentation summarizing internship contributions and key learnings  


 Education/Experience/Skills: 



  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with some completed course work in Information Systems and Project Management. 



  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred. 



  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)  



  • Prior internship, leadership experience, campus involvement, or project-based work preferred. 



  • Interest in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry strongly preferred. 



  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and professionally. 



  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 



  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality. 



  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment. 



  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. 


Physical Requirements: 


This role involves regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain visual, verbal, and auditory communication both in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedule or business needs. 



Compensation:



  • $22/hr USD

  • Please note: Interns are not eligible for the US-based employee benefits
