Job Description - Veterinary Technician Internship (Bel-Rea students only)

Sploot Veterinary Care is introducing a brand new approach to veterinary care in the form of Urgent & Primary Care Clinics and we’re thrilled to offer eighth quarter internships for Bel-Rea Veterinary Technician students. Join our team and help us provide the ABSOLUTE BEST medical care to our patients.

What you’ll do as a Bel-Rea Intern:

Gain 400 hours of hands-on clinic experience during your eight quarter at Bel-Rea

Work closely with our veterinary team to provide high-quality medical care to our patients

Participate in an individualized program to enhance problem-solving, technical, and communication skills

Work alongside veterinary professionals in various aspects of patient care

Support technicians in diagnostic and treatment plans

Learn fear-free techniques for patient exams, treatments, and procedures

Engage in daily hospital nurse duties and responsibilities that provide an elevated level of care and experience for our patients and pet parents

Real-world experience in primary and urgent care medicine in a small animal practice

One-on-one mentorship and individualized onboarding to guide your professional development

Opportunity to focus on specific areas of interest within the veterinary field

Discover diverse roles and career opportunities while gaining practical experience

Expect to be involved in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments. If you are looking to improve certain technical skills, let us know so we can emphasize these areas!

You are currently enrolled in Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology
