Wealth Management Intern - Capital City Bank - More than your bank, your banker.


Hours

Monday-Friday


9:00AM-4:00PM


General Summary

The Wealth Management Intern position has primary responsibility assisting the department with workload and support functions. 


All associates at Capital City Bank have access to confidential client information and must practice discretion at all times.


A Day in the Life of a Wealth Management Intern

The Wealth Management Intern is responsible for oversight and coordination of the following: 


  • The intern will rotate in multiple areas of the Investment, Wealth, and Trust divisions - acquiring knowledge and insight on functions of the departments.

  • Provide high quality service by assisting with all aspects of each task given.


Employer determines the essential functions of the job.


All associates must understand and adhere to the non-negotiable Banker Standards, including our non-disclosure policy and commit to practicing SGNNT at all times. Associates will consistently follow policies and procedures as established by Capital City Bank, with department managers setting the standard. Provides additional support to manager and department colleagues. Completes all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.


Completion of the Summer Internship

In addition to department responsibilities and duties, as an intern group, there will be a


  • Intern Volunteer Work Day

  • Final Report of Internship Experience


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) to be successful in this role

The following KSAs are usually acquired through work experience and/or specialized course(s):



  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

  • Understanding of wealth management and investment duties, including assignments prepared for financial advisement.

  • Must be organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Windows-based computer applications including Word and Excel.

  • Able to function independently with minimal supervision in a high production environment.


Education

It is recommended that candidate possess or are in the process of pursuing the following education and experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in business/finance is preferred from a four‑year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience that gives an understanding of work procedures, job standards, and the job knowledge that may be required.


Working Conditions


  • Professional environment with occasional travel if required.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.

  • In the rare instance of a major or extensive natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic occurrence, or other disruption within our footprint, it may be necessary for associates to relocate or telecommute before, during or after, to ensure business continuity.
