What You’ll Accomplish 



  • Learn and Perform EH&S Tasks: Gain hands-on experience by performing various tasks of Environmental, Health, and Safety coordinators. 



  • Conduct Safety Audits and Inspections: Carry out safety audits, routine inspections, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to identify and mitigate risks. 



  • Review and Update Policies: Assist in reviewing and updating safety practices and policies to enhance safety. 



  • Improve Chemical Inventory Management: Enhance and document the chemical inventory process and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS). 



  • Promote Safety Awareness: Participate in safety education, ergonomic assessments, respiratory fit testing, and safety equipment inspections. 


 


 


What We’re Looking For (Competencies) 



  • Effective Communication: Able to clearly and effectively communicate policies, processes, and updates in a relatable and professional manner. 



  • Basic Project Management: Capable of assisting with public health or environmental projects, coordinating with safety team members, and helping to achieve project goals. 



  • Understanding of EH&S Compliance: Familiar with EH&S laws, policies, and regulations, and knowledgeable in supporting and managing workplace safety issues, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and joyful place for science exploration. 



  • Interest in Sustainability: Experience or interest in participating in sustainability programs, such as recycling and energy conservation. 



  • Analytical Skills: Able to analyze data and trends to help develop effective action plans and mitigation strategies.  


 


Where/When You’ll Work 



  • Weekdays, 7:30am-4pm (flexible schedule) 



  • Onsite, 28 hours max. $15.25 an hour

Salary Range

$15.25 - $15.25 USD
