Job Title: Youth Investment Employment Program

Department: Community Engagement Support Services

Reports to: Director of Workforce and Community Support Programs  

Job Type: Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt 

Job Location: Chicago Land Area  

Salary Range: $17.00 per hour

Position Description – What the Role Entails:

Rincon's Youth Employment Program offers paid, short-term work opportunities to youth ages 16-24, helping participants gain essential job skills, explore career paths, and build professional networks. Participants will be placed in local worksites and supported with coaching, training, and enrichment activities throughout the program.

Areas of Accountability - What you will be doing:

  1. Work at an assigned community-based site or business partner
  2. Follow a structured work schedule (part-time hours, approx. 20 hours per week)
  3. Attend all required job readiness and life-skills training sessions
  4. Demonstrate professionalism and a willingness to learn on the job
  5. Collaborate with supervisors, Rincon staff, and peers
  6. Complete periodic evaluations and reflection activities
  7. All other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications – What is required to Perform the Role:

  • Be between the ages of 16 and 24
  • Reside in Illinois
  • Have a valid state ID or driver's license
  • Have a copy of your birth certificate and social security card
  • Commit to full participation in all program activities
  • Have a strong interest in learning, working, and growing professionally

$17.00
