Job Description

THE POSITION

The Corporate Accounting Intern will participate in various activities to gain exposure to Continental Accounting Operations processes and procedures. The Intern is to support the Accounting group, working on various tasks related to accounting and finance and the month end close process. Work consists of a variety of duties including account analysis and reconciliation, management and/or government reporting, and may involve short assignments in other departments (i.e. intercompany accounting, controlling).

Activities to include, but not limited to:

• Journal entries
• Preparing reporting for US Census Bureau
• Running financial statements
• Balance sheet account reconciliation
• Other Finance & Accounting activities

Qualifications

BASIC

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a US accredited degree program pursuing a degree in Accounting and/or Finance fields, with Accounting coursework completed
• Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8
• Minimum sophomore standing or higher
• Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during normal business hours (Mon-Fri)
• Strong analytical skills and desire to learn
• Experience in Excel
