Therapist Intern

Cumberland Hall Hospital is a 97 bed, licensed, acute psychiatric hospital located in beautiful Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall features individual units for youth, adults and active duty military, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average over 1500 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cumberland Hall Hospital.

In-house supervision is available. 

Job duties to include:

• Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations
• Assess patient needs regularly and assist in the developing and updating of the Master Treatment Plan
• Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient
• Provide group educational therapies to assigned patients consistent with established techniques and methods relevant to the professional literature

Education : Currently enrolled in internship coursework in a Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field required, with an achievable plan of graduation.

Experience : Experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct patient care, crisis intervention, and treatment skills is preferred.

License : Not required however the candidate must have achievable plans to obtain a CSW, LPCA, LMFTA or other mental health counseling credential/licensure
