Remote Accountant

Job Description:

National Oilwell Varco is seeking a part-time Remote Accountant to join our team in San Jose, California. As an Associate Level Remote Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing financial reports to support the decision-making process within the company. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.

Responsibilities: - Manage all aspects of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries - Prepare and analyze financial statements on a regular basis - Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends and recommend improvements - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting - Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities - Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting principles - Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records - Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve efficiency

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - 3+ years of experience in accounting - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Resourceful and hardworking attitude - Strong research and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates
