Job Description:
Philip Morris International is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Online Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this part-time position, the Online Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for managing all online accounts payable processes for the company. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in accounts payable and possess a strong understanding of financial processes and systems.
Responsibilities: - Review and process online invoices in a timely and accurate manner - Verify the accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies with vendors - Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure that all payments are made on time - Monitor and update online payment systems to ensure smooth processing of payments - Prepare and generate reports on accounts payable activities for management review - Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - 4+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role - Strong understanding of financial processes and systems - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Resilient and motivated attitude to handle high-pressure situations - Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Knowledge of online payment systems and processes is a plus
