DineAmic Hospitality is seeking an Event Administrator for our Steakhouse Brands. This position reports directly to the Senior Associate Event Director and supports a team of three Event Sales Managers. Candidates should have the ability to multi-task efficiently and maintain a positive and professional approach with team members and guests. Ideal candidates have at least 1-2 years experience in administrative support; strong interpersonal, organizational, and written skills; and the ability to balance multiple complex tasks and obligations with confidence and grace. This position works out of both our corporate office and restaurants. This role is a great way to kickstart your career in the events and restaurant industry and gain experience and working knowledge needed for future opportunities.
This is an hourly, part-time role.
General Functions and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all administrative duties applicable to the events department
- Prepare and send thank you emails to all private event clients
- Manage in-house meetings by assigning and blocking space, preparing and distributing banquet event orders (BEOs)
- Print and organize event documents for BEO book & event meetings
- Follow through with all guests needs, including Dineamic rewards and gift card submission
- Assist with client follow ups and emailing menus & diagrams
- Answer phone and assist guests or staff with needs and communicates messages to Event managers
- Block event space, events and details in event systems (REX, Angus)
- Prepare Event Contracts
- Prepare printed menus, food labels, special ignage, etc.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required
- Perform other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize, organize delegated work and follow ensure follow through
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality or related field preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience within restaurants, catering or other hospitality field preferred
- Flexible with scheduling, including evenings and weekends, weekly expectation is 25+ hours
- Ability to lift, carry up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Dependable and responsible with a strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Tripleseat, OpenTable, Social Tables and Toast POS a plus
