Job Title: Part-Time Human Resources (HR) Coordinator
Work Hours: part-time ; 28 hours/week; Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Pay : $21.10 - $24.13/hour DOE
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Reports to: H R Manager

Read Better Be Better's mission is to connect young readers and y outh leaders to inspire a love of literacy and learning.
Read Better Be Better (RBBB) is an education nonprofit focused on solving Arizona's literacy crisis. We work with partnering school districts throughout Phoenix and communities throughout Arizona to connect young readers and youth leaders to inspire a love of literacy and learning. Since 2014, we have served thousands of students with our after-school program in over 70 schools. Each school semester, we have expanded to serve more students, schools, and families. We are a mission-driven, collaborative community of passionate and creative professionals, and we welcome those seeking to apply their work expertise and strengths to making a positive impact on Arizona's education system.
A Day as RBBB's Human Resources Coordinator
As the Human Resources (HR) Coordinator , you will work in a shared office space . Under the guidance of the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator is responsible for managing all onboarding and offboarding procedures, particularly for part-time staff. During the peak hiring seasons, the start of each school semester, the HR Coordinator will be tasked with assisting new hires in the completion of their required background checks and will conduct new hire onboarding paperwork and orientations. Other k ey duties include conducting background checks, administering benefits , and maint ai nin g employee personnel files. As an HRIS a d ministrato r , the HR Coordinator will respond to general employee inquiries, ens ur ing a high l eve l of custo mer s ervice to our team members . Thi s role a l so inv o l ves a ss i s tin g the HR Mana ger i n de velo p ing, imple m enting, a nd evaluating HR department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems.
