Job Description: Senior Disability Management Representative (DMR) Consultant

Role Overview:

The incumbent will be dedicated 100% to one (1) specific Apex client.

 

The incumbent will work with client management and employees to initiate and facilitate interactive discussions for medical restrictions and qualifications associated with employees On-The-Job injury cases. Identifies essential job functions and reasonable accommodations, reassignment processes and potential outcomes. Works with Third Party Administrator (TPA) personnel and Workers' Compensation Administrators to assist with detailed claims management. Performs analysis to ensure consistent placement decisions. Facilitates employee's return to work. Documents, maintains, and extracts employee case information and ensures data integrity and confidentiality. Provides early intervention to injured or ill employees to prevent time loss from work. The incumbent will also provide project leadership and project management functions as directed. The incumbent will be a technical expert in their functional area. Will work independently and produce results within budget and timeframe.

 

Your Responsibilities as an Apex Senior Disability Management Representative (DMR):

 

Provides comprehensive DMR consulting services to clients as described in the Role Overview above.

In collaboration with overall client relationship managers, coordinates and executes the implementation of client specific DMR support objectives within set organizational procedures and standards.

In close routine collaboration with the external customer, executes an agreed-to DMR support plan. Monitors and reports progress on plan completion as directed. Works with numerous

internal and external stakeholders in the interest of achieving desired overall goals and outcomes for the role.

Acts as a senior advisor to the customer on DMR issues.

 

Experience and General Expectations:

 

At least 10 years of experience in the DMR field or in a related area preferred.

Bachelors degree required.

Possess an extensive knowledge of disability management technical subject matter and application in real-life settings. Highly familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the DMR field.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Mentors more junior DMR staff on technical issues as needed.

Experience in manufacturing-&-assembly industries / heavy industry settings a plus.

Experience in the aerospace and defense or automotive industry a further plus.

Possess strong interpersonal communication skills.

A great deal of self-starter initiative is required, along with the ability to work independently. This position entails routine ongoing work and negotiation with numerous customer stakeholders all of whom need to be satisfied with respect to purpose, scope, and effective execution of the role.

Keeps abreast of environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any changes to regulations that could impact the routine ongoing execution of the disability management function.

Valid driver's license required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Job Location:

Seattle / Puget Sound Region of Washington State. DMR support may be provided to any one of several sites operated by this client. Depending on the site location, this position may require that the consultant works onsite on a daily basis. For other sites, the work may be executed virtually.

 

 

Travel Expectations:

Periodic or daily local travel to one of the clients sites in the Puget Sound area depending on the location assignment.

 

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is from $125,000 - $135,000 depending on individual candidate qualifications and experience.
