Job Description - Remote Chat Support Manager

Job Description:


We are looking for a skilled Remote Chat Support Manager to join our team at GitLab in San Diego, California. As a part-time employee at a mid-to-senior level, you will be responsible for managing our remote chat support team and ensuring the highest level of customer service. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in a customer service role and possess the personality traits of being confident and motivated. Additionally, you should have strong soft skills, including emotional intelligence and cooperation.


Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee the remote chat support team, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction - Develop and implement strategies to improve customer support processes and efficiency - Monitor chat support metrics and provide regular reports to senior management - Train and mentor new team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills to succeed in their roles - Handle escalated customer inquiries and provide resolution in a timely and professional manner - Collaborate with other departments to coordinate support efforts and improve overall customer experience


Requirements: - 6+ years of experience in a customer service role - Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Experience managing a remote team is a plus - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficiency in using chat support software and technology - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
