Job Description - Contact Center Officer

As a Contact Center Officer at Navient in Chicago, Illinois, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service through phone, email, and chat communication channels. This part-time Associate Level position requires at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.


Responsibilities: 1. Handle incoming inquiries from customers regarding their accounts, loans, and payment options. 2. Assist customers with account maintenance, including updating personal information and payment arrangements. 3. Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner. 4. Use effective communication and problem-solving skills to assist customers with any questions or concerns they may have. 5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and transactions. 6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience. 7. Stay up-to-date on company policies, procedures, and products to provide accurate information to customers. 8. Meet and exceed performance metrics and goals set by management.


Requirements: 1. Passionate about providing excellent customer service. 2. Reliable and able to work independently in a remote setting. 3. Adaptable to changing priorities and able to handle stressful situations with emotional intelligence. 4. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software quickly. 6. Experience in a contact center or customer service role is required.
