Live Chat Associate

Job Description:

eBay is seeking a part-time Live Chat Associate to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. As an Associate Level position, the ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in customer service or a related field. The Live Chat Associate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service through live chat conversations with eBay users.

Responsibilities: 1. Engage with customers in real-time through live chat to assist with inquiries, concerns, and issues related to their eBay experience. 2. Provide accurate and timely information about products, services, promotions, and policies. 3. Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally. 4. Maintain a high level of adaptability to handle varying customer needs and situations. 5. Document customer interactions and follow-up actions accurately within the system. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the best possible customer experience. 7. Meet performance metrics related to response time, resolution rate, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements: 1. At least 4 years of experience in customer service or a related field. 2. Proven ability to work independently and adapt to changing circumstances. 3. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. 4. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. 5. Proficiency in typing and computer skills. 6. Experience with live chat platforms or customer service software is a plus.
