Job Description - Support Specialist

As a Support Specialist at Xcel Energy in Charlotte, North Carolina, your primary responsibility will be to provide outstanding customer service and technical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders. This part-time entry-level position requires at least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.


Responsibilities: 1. Respond to customer inquiries and provide support via phone, email, and chat. 2. Troubleshoot technical issues and find innovative solutions to problems. 3. Educate customers on product features and functionalities. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex issues. 5. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions. 6. Assist with training and onboarding of new employees or customers. 7. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve support processes. 8. Contribute to the development and improvement of support resources and materials.


Requirements: 1. Passion for helping others and a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service. 2. Resourceful problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly. 3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic technical troubleshooting. 6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 7. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
