Job Description:
Delta Air Lines is currently seeking a part-time Web Chat Officer to join our team in San Jose, California. As an Associate Level Web Chat Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support through our online chat platform. This role requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar customer service position.
Responsibilities: 1. Engage with customers through web chat to assist with inquiries, bookings, and issue resolution. 2. Provide accurate information about flight schedules, fares, policies, and promotions. 3. Handle customer complaints and strive to achieve a positive resolution in a timely manner. 4. Meet or exceed performance metrics for response times, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution. 5. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience across all channels. 6. Stay up-to-date with Delta Air Lines' products, services, and policies to provide accurate information to customers. 7. Utilize negotiation skills to upsell or cross-sell products and services when appropriate. 8. Effectively manage time to balance multiple chat conversations while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Requirements: 1. Resilient and adaptable personality traits to handle a high volume of customer inquiries and challenging situations. 2. Strong negotiation skills to drive sales and achieve targets. 3. Excellent time management skills to prioritize and respond promptly to customer chat requests. 4. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a web chat or online support environment. 5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 6. Proficiency in using web chat software and other communication tools. 7. Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail. 8. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
