The Tennessee Aquarium, rated the best aquarium in America for overall guest satisfaction, attracts over 750,000 visitors each year. As a Visitor Services Associate, you will provide an excellent level of customer care by anticipating and meeting the needs of all our visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Connect with visitors from various backgrounds to ensure a positive, high level of customer service throughout their visit.
- Address complaints and provide prompt service recovery in a calm and professional manner.
- Regularly rotate between each designated post throughout the River Journey and Ocean Journey buildings; maintain a working knowledge of each area to adequately assist and educate visitors and ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure the smooth flow of visitors throughout the Aquarium buildings by directing visitors, alleviating crowds, monitoring elevators and escalators, etc.
- Monitor and ensure the safety of our animals and visitors at each touch tank by squeegeeing, clearly communicating the rules, and quickly responding to incidents
- Communicate professionally via a two-way radio.
- Address large groups of visitors of varying ages and backgrounds with confidence and professionalism while using a microphone.
- Uphold all safety protocols in a professional manner; provide assistance during emergency situations, monitor both buildings and the plaza area, and report any safety concerns to the appropriate individual(s) in a timely manner.

Part-time, hourly ($14/hour)
