Responsibilities:

· Prepares and distributes student pre-bills and invoices.

· Assists customers with billing inquiries, coordinating with other departments as needed.

· Manages customer accounts, including tracking outstanding balances and applying holds for delinquencies.

· Ensures accurate financial data by uploading entries from customer information systems and payment processors to the general ledger.

· Reconciles customer payments, issuing refunds and contacting delinquent accounts.

· Maintains financial integrity by reconciling balances across customer information systems, payment services, and the general ledger.

· Issues 1098-T tax forms to students.



Requirements:

· A minimum of one year of demonstrably successful experience in billing within a higher education institution is required.

· Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service are essential.

· The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make well-considered decisions is necessary.

· A willingness to work extended hours during peak student billing periods is a requirement.
