Job Description - Part-Time Inventory Specialist

Vaco has partnered with a company looking for an Inventory Specialist!
Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team
As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting inventory counts at various convenience stores across the city
This role requires a self-motivated individual who can efficiently navigate the city and accurately record inventory data Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Inventory Counts: Travel to designated convenience stores within the city to perform accurate inventory counts using handheld devices or manual counting methods.

  2. Verify Stock Levels: Ensure that inventory counts are precise and match the stock levels recorded in the system
    Identify and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.

  3. Maintain Accuracy: Employ meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of inventory counts
    Double-check counts when necessary to minimize errors.

  4. Communicate with Store Managers: Coordinate with store managers or designated personnel to gain access to inventory and address any concerns or questions related to the counting process.

  5. Utilize Inventory Tools: Utilize inventory management software or tools provided by the company to record and update inventory counts efficiently.

  6. Follow Procedures: Adhere to established inventory procedures and protocols to maintain consistency and accuracy across all stores.

  7. Report Generation: Generate detailed reports summarizing inventory counts, discrepancies, and any other relevant findings
    Submit reports to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

  8. Maintain Equipment: Ensure that inventory counting equipment is properly maintained, charged, and in good working condition at all times.

  9. Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and troubleshoot any issues or challenges encountered during inventory counts, and communicate with the appropriate parties to resolve them effectively.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in inventory management or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, auditing, or a similar role preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with handheld inventory devices and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and resources.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours or weekends as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend and move inventory items as required.
