SUMMARY
Plan and organize the activities of an assigned program area. Ensue that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time ad fund limitations/specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensure participants meet program eligibility criteria.
Develop and schedule program work plan.
Work with marketing staff to design materials and literature for distribution to potential participants; make presentations as needed.
Evaluate program effectiveness to develop improved methods, devise evaluation methodology, analyze results and make recommendations for improvement.
Review need for equipment, supplies and recommend purchase
Recruit, interview and recommend staff and provide orientation or assigned area.
Monitor and assist in the evaluation of staff performance.
Register participants to the program.
Complete and submit participant reports as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION
Associate’s degree required. Four (4) years’ experience may be substituted in lieu of the Associate’s degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Eight (8) years’ experience may be substituted in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in office operations, including supervisory experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Familiarity with and sensitivity to culturally diverse populations
Knowledge or familiarity with the following computer applications:
Excellent organization skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to form effective partnerships and alliances to achieve common goals
Ability to work with a diverse student population, multiple communities and public agencies
Ability to manage complex processes
Familiarity with on-line technologies
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and creative in managing projects and identifying solutions to complex problems
