Flower Valley Veterinary Clinic has been serving the pets of its local community for over 30 years and has recently come under new private ownership after the founder's recent retirement. We are a small veterinary clinic with a loyal clientele that is looking to update and grow. The new owner is a young veterinarian whose goals center around growth (personal and professional), treating staff with the respect and kindness they deserve, treating our clients like family and their pets like our own. The staff are a friendly group who strive to share their compassion with every patient that comes through the door. 

Flower Valley Veterinary Clinic is currently a small practice with 1.5 veterinarians, 4 technicians, 2 client service representatives, and an office manager. We have a fresh and ambitious staff who is eager to learn. It is a small animal exclusive general practice, but the owner is open to expanding into exotic animal medicine, or whatever you are passionate about.

WHY FLOWER VALLEY VETERINARY CLINIC

We are a small animal exclusive clinic that is equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, surgery suite, CO2 surgical laser, dental suite, cold laser, and more.  We are open Monday-Friday 9a-6p, with an hour-long lunch from 1p-2p, and Saturdays from 9a-1p. We keep no patients overnight and are never on call. 

We prioritize work-life balance, lunch breaks, and getting off on time. We support our employees' professional interests--if there is something you are passionate about, we want to help grow that passion! We want to support your passion to help you become the best veterinarian you can be , and by extension make FVVC the best practice it can be. We are looking to eventually grow into a 3 doctor practice, and beyond. 

Located in Rockville just 10 minutes away from the Glenmont Metro station, we are conveniently located for easy city access and near several local state parks perfect for whatever type of fun you enjoy. Montgomery county is an exceptional school district , and Flower Valley is full of kind young families. Rockville is a Maryland city near Washington, D.C. Restaurants and shops are clustered around Rockville Town Square, with its lawn and seasonal ice-skating rink. Visit the grounds of the early-1800s Beall-Dawson House include the Stonestreet Museum of 19th-Century Medicine. Enjoy Civic Center Park with its gardens and trails. Just northeast, in Rock Creek Regional Park, you can explore Meadowside Nature Center’s natural and cultural exhibits. 

SALARY

Salary is negotiable, suggested pro-sal arrangement is $120,000-$150,000 per year base salary with 20% production bonus paid quarterly with no negative accrual. Salary based on experience.

OUR DVM ROLE INVOLVES:

• Being a dedicated and passionate veterinarian who wants to work in a collaborative environment 
• Managing veterinary technicians and other support staff, and being a strong communicator with great interpersonal and leadership skills
• Being a technically proficient worker who is excited to share their knowledge and abilities with staff and clients 
• Performing examinations for sick appointments, overseeing appropriate diagnostics, and prescribing medications as needed.
• Performing examinations for wellness and vaccine appointments.
• Willingness to do surgery is a plus but is not required. We are happy to help with any training required.
• Willing to Issue USDA health certificates for traveling pets is a plus but is not required.
