Job Description - Human Resources Generalist - Part-Time

We have an excellent opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to work on a part-time basis in our Tampa-based engineering office.

The HR Generalist collaborates with the HR and leadership team on a variety of areas to support the company's most valued asset...its people! While the role places an emphasis on benefits, it also includes supporting strategic plans, implementing people solutions, enhancing current processes, and supporting the company's organizational growth.

The position is an onsite role working 20 hours per week and up to three days per week in office with the opportunity to increase the schedule as business needs evolve.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the company's Wellness Program participating in monthly committee meetings and playing an active role in engaging team members through continuous program development, communication, and participation
  • Performing quality checks of benefits-related data as well as reconciling benefit invoices, ensuring accuracies, and following up with carriers for discrepancies on a monthly basis
  • Responding to benefits inquiries from managers and team members on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries
  • Collaborating with the HR team on supporting the company's annual benefits open enrollment process
  • Supporting HR team on communications with company benefit providers and carriers
  • Providing benefit administration support collaborating with the HR team on program management and employee support
  • Providing support to General Manager on the company's 401k program administration or advisor lunch and learn events
  • Supporting the company's performance management and goal setting process
  • Processing and administering all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork
  • Managing HRIS and database system updates, including compensation and title changes, new hire profiles, and general oversight to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Supporting the onboarding process for new hires, including managing all preparations and scheduling and completing required items
  • Managing immigration case support working with the leadership team, new and existing team members, and the company's immigration attorneys
  • Supporting employee relations acting as the first point of contact for team members
  • Maintaining the company's social media accounts and activities
  • Participating in the Activities Committee meetings

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree, highly preferred
  • Prior experience in a broad human resources role that includes benefits
  • Solid benefits knowledge and ability to support benefit and leave programs and administration of benefit plans, including invoice review and reconciliation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Savvy tech skills, including working in HR and benefits-related systems
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build rapport
  • Ability to work onsite
