PHX Referee (League Coordinator/Host) - Part-Time

The Role: As a Coordinator/Host, your primary objective is to ensure that league nights are nothing short of amazing for our members. You'll be at the forefront of our mission to Make Fun Possible, leading activities on the field, setting the tone, and embodying our brand values. With your natural enthusiasm and ability to connect with others, you'll create memorable moments, whether it's organizing league trophies, curating the perfect vibe with music, or sparking post-game celebrations at our sponsor bars. Your responsibilities will include overseeing nightly operations, from setting up fields to refereeing games, communicating with players, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. You'll be the friendly face of our organization, fostering a sense of community and excitement among participants. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver a lively and energetic experience for all players
- Manage logistical aspects of sports leagues, including setup, breakdown, refereeing/hosting games, and equipment transportation
- Maintain regular communication with players and act as the local representative of our brand
- Foster relationships and build a strong community spirit
- Think creatively and problem-solve on the spot to enhance the overall experience Qualifications: - Experience playing or refereeing kickball is preferred
- A vibrant and enthusiastic personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and think on your feet
- A positive and customer-focused approach
- Referee licensing or accreditation is a plus but not required Requirements: - Commitment for the entire season (typically 7 weeks)
- Arrive at scheduled games 30 minutes early and engage with players at sponsor bar locations afterward
- Ability to update scores using a smartphone
- Attend New Hire Orientation and League Training sessions
- Maintain league equipment bag (for Coordinators only)
- Send weekly email updates to communicate changes, game times, and upcoming events Compensation and Benefits: - Competitive hourly rate based on experience
