The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Part-Time Student-Manufacturing Engineering  for John Deere Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA , you will...

 

• Support the 4WD Loader Business unit assembly processes
• Identify and implement safety, quality and efficiency improvement ideas of limited scope
• Work with electronic tools to perform engineering functions
• Provide  support and basic trouble shooting for current operations
• Develop plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing

 

This position is not available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need

 

• Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in an engineering related field; others may apply
• Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university
• Graduation date of May 2024 or later
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
• Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly
• Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly
• Must be able to commute to the work location in  Davenport, IA on a daily basis year-round
