The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.  

Your Responsibilities

 

• Maintaining and updating existing tools and processes
• Identifying and implementing cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope
• Gathering, reviewing, and analyzing information as directed by Manufacturing Engineers
• Supporting multiple departments in daily functions
• Producing a variety of correspondence and reports in support of department processes
• Learning SAP business software to maintain and update part process and gaging instructions

 

This position is available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need

 

• Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in an Engineering, Technology, or a Computer Science discipline; others may apply
• Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited college/university
• Graduation date of December 2024 or later
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
• Available to work 16-20 hours/week in the academic year during business hours
• Available to work 35-40 hours/week in the summer semester during business hours
• Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa, year-round
• Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Proficiency using Excel advanced functions such as macros or pivot tables
• Experience machining metal (turning, milling, drilling)
