Digital Marketing Intern (Part-Time)HOURLY WAGE: $15.00JOB SUMMARY: As a Digital Marketing Intern at Kansas City PBS, you will be vital in enhancing our online presence across our three brands (Kansas City PBS, 90.9 The Bridge and Flatland) and their various digital platforms. Your responsibilities will include tasks related to our social media channels, website and streaming platforms. You will work closely with our marketing team to ensure seamless execution of effective digital media strategies.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in shooting and editing videos that align with our brand's messaging and style.
• Assist in conducting SEO optimization for digital platforms, including updating headlines and keywords (training provided).
• Work cross-departmentally with the production team to coordinate the creation of vertical videos for social media platforms.
• Identify opportunities for social media graphic assets and work with the Graphic Designer to create deliverables.
• Upload content to the Kansas City PBS streaming platform. (training provided)
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Reliable self-starter who is eager to learn.
• Interest in marketing, media, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative thinking and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Passion for digital media, storytelling and content creation.
• Flexibility for evening and weekend work.
• Familiarity with digital media platforms, including social media channels.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and techniques.
• Experience with video editing software and the ability to create compelling vertical videos.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (an equivalent amount of training, education and experience will be considered):

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Must be interested in marketing and/or currently pursuing or just completed an undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
