The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND .

Your Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Student  for John Deere  located in Ames or  Ankeny, Iowa , you will...

• Review daily incoming warranty claims to ensure data integrity is maintained 
• Update and maintain historical warranty records to improve reporting accuracy 
• Conduct weekly warranty reviews/analysis for crop care products 
• Assist management in identifying issues and proposing resolutions 
• Perform activities according to project plans and schedule

This position is NOT available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need

• Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Engineering or a similar discipline
• Must be registered as a full-time student at a local (Iowa) accredited university 
• Graduation date of Spring 2025 or later 
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
• Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year 
• Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester 
• Must be able to be onsite in Ames or Ankeny, Iowa, for training and job acclimation purposes, and as needed for onsite meetings
• Willingness to learn John Deere warranty tools and systems

What Makes You Stand Out

• High level or attention to detail and accuracy 
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office – Excel (data manipulation and pivot charts/tables) 
• Knowledge of database and data acquisition tools 
• Understanding or knowledge of agricultural equipment
