Communications Specialist - Remote Work

Job Description:

WestRock is seeking a motivated and experienced Communications Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis, working remotely from Columbus, Ohio. As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing communication strategies to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities: - Develop and execute communication plans to promote company initiatives, events, and projects - Write and edit content for a variety of communication channels, including email, social media, and internal newsletters - Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communications - Monitor and analyze communication metrics to track the effectiveness of messaging and make data-driven decisions - Manage crisis communication strategies and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communication to continuously improve strategies

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a communications role - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of social media platforms - Driven and independent with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team - Soft skills: adaptability and cooperation
