Communications Specialist

Job Description:

As a Communications Specialist at Aflac in Chicago, Illinois, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to effectively convey the company's messages to internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.

Responsibilities: 1. Develop and execute communication plans that support the company's goals and objectives. 2. Create content for internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, social media posts, and more. 3. Manage relationships with media outlets and coordinate interviews and press coverage. 4. Monitor and analyze communication efforts to ensure effectiveness and make adjustments as needed. 5. Collaborate with graphic designers and other team members to create visually appealing materials. 6. Assist in crisis communication planning and response. 7. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in communication strategies.

Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field. 2. 4 years of experience in a communications role. 3. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 5. Adaptable and reliable with excellent time management skills. 6. Strong soft skills in cooperation and persuasion. 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with communication tools. 8. Knowledge of social media platforms and other digital communication channels.
