21st Century Activity Specialist - Part Time

General Function:

Each Activity Specialist, Program Specialist, or Teacher is responsible for the effective implementation of the ULBGC – Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC programs and activities in the areas of academic achievement and education, sports and physical activities, recreation, mentoring, social emotional learning and technology. In addition, he/she shall assist the Program Coordinator in the execution of other activities and programs as needed.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Assist the Program Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and implement programs and activities.
• Implement programs and activities as indicated in the activity curriculum.
• Support and supervise program participants.
• Promote and stimulate interest and participation of participants.
• Serve as an assistant to the Program Coordinator in general supervision.
• Maintain records of program participants.
• Maintain equipment and supplies.
• Assist in planning and implementation of special events.
• Provide input for program implementation and effectiveness
• Participate in periodic meetings as required by Program Coordinator.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to participants.
• To adhere to all physical and emotional safety guidelines as recommended by CPS, CDC, BGCA and the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs.
