4th Grade Math and Reading Tutor (In-Home/Part-time)

We are seeking a tutor with a Valid Teaching Certification for Elementary School to the student in math and reading material.

Tutoring takes place in the family’s home in Hinesville (zip code 31313). The family is available for 1-hour sessions on Thursdays, starting August 14th.

Requirements

• Must be a certified educator through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC).
  


• A K–6 certification.
  

You must meet the GA Promise Program eligibility requirements, including:

• Active PSC Certificate
  


• PSC Certification ID
  


• PSC Field Code (subject/grade certified)
  


• Proof of business license (required for businesses; optional for individuals)
  

An Ideal Tutor Is:

• Encouraging, patient, and organized
  


• Experienced in working with students with ADHD
  


• Comfortable teaching foundational skills in Reading, Math, and other elementary/middle school subjects
  


• Dependable and consistent
  

A Bachelor’s Degree and prior tutoring experience are required. Preference is given to tutors with a teaching or educational background.

With In-Home Tutors, you are an independent contractor. You’ll report hours via our online system and are paid twice per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized tutoring sessions for both students, tailored to their academic and developmental needs
  


• Support the 4th grader in all core subjects.
  


• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  


• Collaborate with parents to share progress and recommendations
