SUMMARY
Lifeguards are responsible for the safety of all patrons using the Bentonville Adult Recreation Center. Lifeguards must demonstrate strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic and outgoing personality. Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of patrons by guarding their area of responsibility. As a lifeguard you are responsible for responding to any level of emergency around the pool area and facility within your training ability. Lifeguards must be able to enforce pool rules in a fair and polite manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS Current American Red Cross PR/CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified.
Training provided by the City of Bentonville if needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
No education is necessary. We appreciate practical skills and relevant experience. Experience of up to three years preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY
solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
