Academic Tutor (K–12)
Carlsbad, Oceanside & North County San Diego | Flexible Scheduling

We are looking for dedicated and reliable Academic Tutors to join our team! Our students range from elementary through high school, and we provide support across core subjects including math, English/ELA, science, and history.

This is an in-person tutoring role with flexible scheduling, making it a great opportunity for teachers, substitute teachers, student teachers, and education majors or anyone who is interested in working with students who want to make an impact outside the classroom.

What You’ll Do

• 
  

  Provide personalized one-on-one tutoring for students in grades K–12

  
  


• 
  

  Adapt sessions to each student’s individual learning needs and goals

  
  


• 
  

  Support students with homework, test prep, and skill-building in core subjects

  
  


• 
  

  Foster confidence, motivation, and a positive approach to learning

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate progress and strategies with families and our team through session reports

  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 
  

  Strong knowledge in one or more core subject areas (math, English/ELA, science, history)

  
  


• 
  

  Tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable, professional, and punctual

  
  


• 
  

  Must have reliable transportation to travel to student homes in Carlsbad, Oceanside, and surrounding areas

  
  


• 
  

  After-school availability (weekday afternoons and early evenings) preferred

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree (or working toward one) in education or related field preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Prior tutoring or classroom experience is a plus

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication skills with students and parents
