THE OPPORTUNITY
Reel Works is hiring a part time Accounting and Payroll Coordinator to support the day-to-day program related finance logistics for MediaMKRS.
Location: This position requires candidates to be based in the New York City Metro area, with the flexibility of a hybrid office environment. The physical office is located in Brooklyn, NY.
Reports To: Senior Managers of Career Development
Compensation: Part-Time 18-22 hours per week; $25-$30 per hour
Estimated Start Date: ASAP

Reel Works mentors, inspires and empowers underserved NYC youth to share their stories through filmmaking, creating a springboard to successful careers in media and beyond. Using a unique, one-on-one mentoring model, Reel Works builds vital skills of literacy, leadership, and self-confidence to create productive futures for youth. The MediaMKRS program was launched by Reel Works in 2019 to address the crisis of inclusion in the media industry with a goal to diversify the media landscape and create equitable solutions. MediaMKRS educates and empowers individuals from diverse backgrounds to succeed in the media industry through comprehensive training, hands-on work experiences, networking opportunities, and unparalleled access to industry professionals needed for a thriving career. JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Career Development the Accounting and Payroll Coordinator will advance the mission and vision of Reel Works by supporting the finance logistics of the MediaMKRS Programs from the creation, actualization and reporting of program budgets and program grants; to processing student, instructor, and vendor payments and payroll to support the successful execution of the programs. We are looking for a meticulous, organized coordinator to support streamlining our processes, and to manage documentation and records proficiently to ensure correctness and promptness of program deliverables.
