Activities Assistant

Description

As our Activities Assistant, you will help coordinate a variety of activities for the resort.

This is a PT seasonal position from June 1st to November 1st.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Coordinate and attend all activities such as picnics, sporting events, dances, and dinners
• Set up and clean up after events
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests
• Help maintain a tracking sheet to monitor attendance for each activity
• Assist with training Activity department team members and volunteers
• Assist with distributing the weekly newsletter to resort guests
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition

Job Qualifications:

• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
