Job Title: Activities Assistant
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the organizing, supervising, and implementing therapeutic activities designed to meet the specific and individual needs of our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in Alzheimer's Care and be able to read, write, speak clearly, and follow written and oral instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing therapeutic activities for our residents
- Encourage resident participation in activities and provide individualized attention as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents during activities
- Document resident participation and progress in activities
- Communicate with other staff members to ensure that activities are coordinated with other resident care services
- Attend in-service training and education sessions to stay current on Alzheimer's Care practices and techniques
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Alzheimer's Care preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
