Description

Department: Conservatory for the Performing Arts

Type: Faculty, Part-time

Stephens College Conservatory for the Performing Arts is seeking Adjunct lnstructor(s) to teach a course in Psychology.  The classes will be taught asynchronous online from August 25-December 12, 2025.

  

Courses:

PSY 111- Intro to Psychology- Online

An introduction to the major sub-fields of contemporary psychology. Emphases on the diversity of psychology as a discipline and how psychological principles pertain to everyday life.

PSY 301- Psychology of Gender – Online
This course examines psychological theory and research pertaining to the concepts of gender and gender development. Biological and cultural influences on gender expression as it relates to self-concept and well-being in students' lives will be emphasized.


Requirements

  • Must have experience in teaching courses at the college level.
  • Hold a Ph.D. in Psychology or ABD in Psychology.
  • Evidence of communication and collaboration skills demonstrated commitment to working with a multicultural population.
  • Experience with Canvas is preferred.
