This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Position Start Date: April 28, 2026

Required Degree: Graduate degree in Special Education or related field. 

The required degree must be completed by the start date.   

Experience: Relevant applied experience in a professional setting. Preferred experience as an instructor at the college level.

Duties/Expectations: 

• Help students meet learning objectives in assigned course through instruction and other methods, observe and evaluate student performance, and address academic or professional concerns. 

• The primary focus of this course is on the basic principles and legislative foundations of special education, including effective communication and collaboration with professionals, parents, and other service providers to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities in inclusive educational environments. The course also covers eligibility/qualification criteria used to determine whether a student qualifies for special education services, as well as an examination of the different disability categories recognized under IDEA.  

• Must be available to teach online April 28-June 15, 2026
