We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Childcare Provider to join our after-school program team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children after school hours. If you are passionate about supporting children's development and have experience in child care or early childhood education, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care and supervision to children in an after-school setting
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that stimulate learning and personal growth
- Create a safe, clean, and inviting environment for children to socialize, learn, and explore
- Assist with homework and educational tasks to support children's academic development
- Manage snack time and assist with light meal preparation
- Encourage positive behavior and address any concerns or issues that arise
- Foster a supportive relationship with parents, maintaining open communication about their child's well-being and progress
- Ensure that children are engaged, happy, and well cared for throughout their time in the program
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, nannying, or a classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of childhood development and age-appropriate learning practices
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and a passion for promoting learning through play and structured activities
- Ability to engage children in both educational and recreational activities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle a variety of situations with care and professionalism
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
