Schedule: 2:30-6:00 p.m. school days
The YMCA is hiring a part-time Youth Development Lead for our Johnson Creek program. This role helps lead daily after school programming, supports a safe and engaging environment for youth, and serves as a reliable point of contact for children, families, staff, and YMCA leadership.

What You’ll Do
• Lead engaging after school activities for youth
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive program environment
• Support daily program flow, licensing standards, and YMCA guidelines
• Build positive relationships with youth, families, school partners, and staff
Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience in children’s programming/education, preferred.
• Knowledge of state licensing and Young Star accreditation requirements, preferred.
• Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.
• Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education
- DCF-approved coursework for Early Childhood Lead Teacher or School Age Program Leader
