Job Summary
Snapology is seeking energetic, reliable, and engaging individuals to lead our hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) programs for children ages 5–14. This year-round role includes summer camps and school-year programs, such as after-school classes, weekend workshops, and seasonal holiday camps.
All curriculum, supplies, and training are provided—no lesson planning required! If you love working with kids and want to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers, creators, and leaders, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Snapology’s curriculum-based programs using LEGO® bricks and other tools
- Lead groups of up to 20 students in a classroom, camp, or enrichment setting
- Create a fun, positive, and inclusive environment that promotes creativity and teamwork
- Manage student behavior using effective classroom techniques
- Prepare for programs by reviewing curriculum and attending training as needed
- Set up and clean up materials before and after each session
- Communicate professionally with parents, schools, and Snapology staff
- Travel to schools, community centers, and partner locations throughout the service area
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children in a classroom, camp, or similar environment
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) current Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances
- Education degree or active enrollment in an education-related field preferred
- Experience working with neurodiverse learners is a plus
- Access to reliable transportation
Work Schedule
Summer (May–August): Weeklong morning and afternoon camps (15–35 hrs/week)
School Year (August–May): After-school classes (typically 2:45–4:45PM), birthday parties, and school break camps (Thanksgiving, Winter, Spring, etc.)
Compensation & Benefits
- $12–$18/hour based on experience
