Job Description - After-School Nanny for Three School-Age Children (20 hrs per week) Placement
Jovie Seattle, WA, USA
Summary: A bit about us: We’re a warm and busy family with three energetic and imaginative school-age children. Our oldest is in 3rd grade, and we have younger twins who are starting 1st grade this fall. With both parents working and no extended family in the area, we’re hoping to find a reliable and nurturing nanny who can bring calm and structure to our weekday afternoons. Our home is full of creativity, pretend play, science kits, and outdoor adventures, and we’re looking for someone who can help us maintain that joyful energy while keeping things on track.
A bit about you: You’re a dependable self-starter who notices what needs doing and jumps in with a proactive, positive attitude. You have experience working with school-age children, including those with ADHD, and you approach behavior with patience and consistency, using redirection, reminders, and encouragement. You're organized, tidy, and ready to help create smooth afternoons by assisting with homework, prepping meals, and helping our kids follow their routines. Above all, you’re a kind, confident caregiver who can connect with each child in their own unique way.
Job Duties: You’ll work Monday-Friday, 1:00–5:00 pm, starting the afternoon with an hour of general household support: including light tidying of kid areas, prepping snacks, prepping next day lunches, and folding laundry, and keeping an eye out for things that might need to be done around the home. Around 3:30 pm, you'll walk to the nearby bus stop to pick up the kids and help them settle in at home, encouraging them to follow their after-school routine, guiding them through homework, and engaging them in crafts or backyard play. Occasional additional hours may be available for date nights or school closures. Text NANNY to 206-752-6917 to apply and schedule your interview in under 3 minutes.
Start Date: Ideal start date, week of August 25 Location: Bothell, 98011 Position Highlights: Guaranteed hours (20/week). Paid sick time. No driving required. Option for additional hours (date nights, school closures). Warm and creative family environment. Long-term outlook. Willing to discuss additional work benefits with the right fit candidate! Qualifications: 3+ years of professional childcare experience. Experience supporting children with ADHD. COVID-vaccinated. Confident supporting multiple children at once. Strong communicator and reliable team player. Glowing references from recent nanny positions. Set yourself apart: Bonus if you bring a background in art, education, or simply love crafting, pretend play, or science experiments. If you can inspire curious minds and manage transitions with grace and humor, you’ll be a great fit. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00–5:00 pm (20 hours/week) Pay: $34-38
