Job Summary
We are seeking an outgoing and energetic Coach to join our team! As a Coach, you will design and lead age-appropriate practices and drills, offer guidance and mentorship, and assist with team administration. If you have a competitive cheerleading/gymnastics background and want to make a real difference in the lives of children, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Follow age-appropriate workouts focusing on technique, endurance, skill development, and drills.
- Lead structured practices
- Provide positive feedback, guidance, and encouragement
- Individualize practices to suit each child’s abilities
- Communicate with parents/guardians
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
- Assist with all administrative matters relating to the team
Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching children/students is preferred
- Comfortable with speaking to and educating parents
- Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred but not required
- First aid and CPR certified
- Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills

Here at California Spirit our goal is to encourage a good sense of self-esteem, discipline, teamwork, leadership, and physical strength. Athletes will be taught routines that will exemplify these skills and will showcase these routines at regional and national competitions.
California Spirit Elite offers an ample choice of programs to suit every child's and parent's needs. We offer a number of recreational programs including boys and girls recreational levels programs in cheer, gymnastics, tumbling, and dance. During the summer, we offer summer camps and team training for school cheer programs. We also offer birthday parties for your child's special day.
In addition to our recreational classes we offer All Star competitive cheerleading & Team Training. Come join the fastest growing sport in America.
Our Cheer Gym is centrally located in Dublin, CA and has the most modern equipment to provide the safety and success of gymnastics and cheer instruction. We are home to All Star Cheerleaders from all over the Tri-Valley; Danville, Dublin, Castro Valley, Livermore, Hayward, Pleasanton, Livermore, Pleasanton, Fremont, Alameda, Oakland, San Leandro, San Ramon, Lafayette, Orinda, Walnut Creek, Patterson, Tracy and more!
Employment
California Spirit Elite always accepts applications for multiple positions within our gym. These are full or part-time positions with pay depending on experience, credentials, demonstrated skills and responsibilities assigned. CPR & First Aid certification, full criminal background check, and full reference check are required prior to acceptance of employment with California Spirit Elite.
