Do you love preparing meals that bring smiles to children’s faces? At Primrose School of Old Bridge, we believe healthy food fuels curiosity, play, and learning. We’re looking for a Food Service Assistant to join our team and help provide nutritious, delicious meals for our students in a warm, caring school environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks following the daily menu

  • Support healthy eating habits by offering meals children enjoy

  • Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, following food safety guidelines

  • Keep track of inventory and assist with ordering supplies

  • Stay mindful of allergies and dietary restrictions for children in your care

  • Assist the lead chef/food service teacher with day-to-day kitchen operations



What We’re Looking For



  • Experience in food preparation (school, daycare, or commercial kitchen preferred)

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary needs

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • A positive, reliable team player who enjoys working around children

  • Ability to lift and move kitchen supplies as needed

  • Part-Time Position


  • Shift Schedule: approx 9am - 1pm


  • Salary Range: $16 - $18 per hour
