Job Description - Assistant County Coordinator (Internal Only)
Summary
In addition to the CWK Educator roles as outlined in the Educator job description, the primary responsibility of the Assistant County Coordinator is to coordinate food and supply purchasing and distribution in the county, assist, mentor, and train other Educators as needed, and support special event planning and implementation while assisting the county coordinator in various areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate Food and Supply Purchasing for the county, including: (50%)
Communicate with CWK RAC staff regarding program food storage and distribution.
Use personal vehicle to transport CWK supplies and food within the county.
Purchase and distribute bi-weekly food and supply orders for CWK classroom programming, following safe handling, transportation, and storage practices.
Assist with any emergency purchases for RAC CWK Educators.
Assist with beginning of year and mid-year supply shopping, as well as order and organize supplies for educators.
Submit reports and supporting documents for all CWK purchases on time and according to instructions provided by the Executive Director and County Coordinator.
Support, train, and mentor other Educators, as directed by the County Coordinator.
Assistant County Coordinator in community and stakeholder engagement and outreach, as directed.
Assist with Cafeteria Manager trainings, as needed.
Facilitate CWK classes in the county in the absence of other educators, as assigned by the County Coordinator.
Assist in special events planning, purchasing, implementation, and reporting as coordinated with the County Coordinator.
Serve as Acting County Coordinator if assigned by the Program Director or Executive Director in the temporary absence of the County Coordinator.
Eligibility and Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
At least one year experience as a CWK Educator, required. Two or more years’ experience preferred.
Experience planning and/or facilitating special events, strongly preferred.
Experience organizing food and supply orders with CWK or similar programs, strongly preferred.
Driver’s license in New Mexico, required.
Other Requirements:
This position is only open to current CWK Educators.
Candidates must live within 15 miles of the County Headquarters.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, and stand.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Duties require the employee to work comfortably at a computer.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Estimated Level of Effort
This additional appointment will require about 5-10 hours per week during the school year, in addition to the Educator hours, and between 0-5 hours per week during the summer period depending on programming needs.
