Job Description - Assistant Golf Professional (Full time)
WORK LOCATION: TERRI PINES
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be proficient in written and oral communication. Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Certified in First-aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) preferred. Possess a valid driver’s license. Must meet Park Board employment and physical standards, which includes a background check as well as drug and alcohol screening. Experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and aptitude to perform the defined duties.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism is dedicated to improving quality of life through exceptional parks, facilities, events, and recreational opportunities for all.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Is responsible for the opening and/or closing duties of the cart barn and practice range.
Maintains a professional appearance and attitude with golf shop customers and other employees.
Demonstrates professional verbal communications.
Enjoys working in a team environment.
Maintain excellent customer service skills.
Remains informed of daily/weekly events at the course.
Possesses ability to solve disputes/complaints with customers.
Reports verbal and/or written concerns to the Director of Golf.
Stages golf carts on expected play for the day.
Maintains clean golf carts before and after use.
Notifies staff of any golf cart damage.
Maintains necessary numbers of range balls based on daily use.
Performs minor golf cart maintenance.
Maintains basic record keeping as well as service/preventive maintenance records.
Assists Director of Golf with various tasks.
Maintains a safe and productive work environment.
Promotes golf course and facilities.
Effectively communicates with all golf course and CPRST staff.
Acts as a team member with other CPRST staff, embracing and supporting the vision and mission of the CPRST Board of Directors and the City of Cullman.
Maintains sound business and financial procedures in accordance with Federal and State laws, and CPRST system policies.
Maintains professional internal and external relationships in keeping with CPRST core values.
Work hours may vary, which will include nights, weekends, and some holidays, with hours varying based on time of year, events, and projects.
Exhibits a high level of professionalism and ethics, working amicably with the Park Board, the Executive Director, Administrators, Personnel, and Community.
Exhibits proficiency in written and oral communication.
Attends all meetings as required by supervisors.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work exposes employee to adverse weather conditions and hazards associated with parking lot traffic, exposure to electricity, chemicals, and fumes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands for this position are mostly sedentary. Standing for prolong periods of time, walking, bending, stooping, and carrying moderately heavy items may be required. Must be able to routinely lift twenty-five pounds without assistance.
