Job Description - Assistant Manager

Assistant Manager – Bed & Breakfast

We are looking for a person who can assist with a variety of duties at our bed and breakfast, including food prep, baking, checking in guests, administrative duties, taking phone calls, reservations, serving guests during our evening social hour, and helping serve breakfast on busy days.

The position requires working weekends and some holidays. Must be professional, reliable, friendly, well-spoken, and committed to maintaining our standard of hospitality excellence. Should be able to converse well with guests.

· Kitchen / serving experience preferred

· Hospitality industry experience preferred

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to listen and communicate effectively

· Positive attitude and professional demeanor

· Willing to work as part of a team.

· Must have reliable transportation

· No smoking on the premises

We are a living wage employer located in the Montford Historic District of Asheville.

Abbington Green is a AAA Four Diamond Select Registry Property built in the Colonial Revival style. We are less than a mile from downtown Asheville, and just a short 10-minute drive to the Biltmore Estate and the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The house was completed in 1908 by Biltmore Estate's on-site supervising architect, Robert Sharpe Smith. Abbington Green is the winner of the Preservation Society's prestigious Griffin Award for excellence in historic preservation.
