Are you a D.I.Y.-Project-Loving, Pinterest-Addicted Creative who has Service Industry Experience? We’ve got the job for you! Pinspiration is looking for an Assistant Manager to help customers/employees at special events and during everyday shop hours.

Pinspiration is a creative entertainment art studio located in Birmingham. Pinspiration employees help customers of all ages make D.I.Y. projects, enjoy libations, and have a great time while doing both.

Responsibilities Will Include, but are not limited to:

Train employees

*Provide feedback to employees

*Book events

* Inventory

*Opening/Closing procedures• Providing excellent customer service to all patrons

• Preparing project kits and tools for patrons

• Greeting customers and getting them set up for crafting

• Welcoming patrons and directing them as needed

• Acting as a “Project Assistant” to patrons in the shop

• Bringing a sense of liveliness to events

• Setting up and cleaning up the shop

• Working various daytime retail hours and normal night and weekend hours

• Assisting with inventory

• Marketing

• Updating retail display

• Performing retail sales processes

Occasional offsite and outside of business hours events

Requirements:

• Responsible and availability on nights and weekends preferred (specifically Thursday-Sunday)

• Service industry experience preferred

Management experience

• Social media experience

• iPad and computer familiarity

• Love for crafts and/or the arts

• Friendly and outgoing personality

• Responsible self-starter

• Problem solver

*Please note: Hours offered will be based on business needs and may vary week by week. Our Assistant Manager will work an average of 15-25 hours a week.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Evan Christen is an Alabama native with a focus on customer service and building relationships. Together, they have over 20 years of leadership experience and management in a Fortune 500 company. Their interests in family gathering, community involvement, and supporting local and small business were awakened in Pinspiration. Pinspiration is a creative environment where family and friends can create, share memories, and leave with a project they are proud of. When Eleny and Evan are not “getting their craft on”, they are outdoors, traveling, or trying new foods with their three wonderful children.
