Assistant Manager/ Shift Supervisor

15 Walnut is looking to hire an Assistant Manager/Shift Supervisor to join our team!

Some position responsibilities will include:

• Supervise the restaurant on the General Manager’s two days off and assist with opening and/or closing procedures.
• Assist with floor management responsibilities
• Work as a member of a cohesive management team that supports one another’s decisions and presents a unified front
• Work with the General Manager to determine appropriate staffing levels
• Take a pro-active role in ensuring a high level of quality and consistency is upheld for food, service, hospitality, safety, cleanliness and team work

• Previous experience in a hospitality setting; a minimum of one year of supervising or managing experience preferred
• Previous experience in a variety of FOH roles, such as serving and bartending, is preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn and adapt to our technical systems
• An understanding of how to cultivate hospitality within the team and with our guests
• The ability to remain calm and gracious under pressure
• An ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and set the tone for a warm, welcoming, safe and efficient service
